7 Ways to Treat Yo Self!

This Valentine’s Day, it’s time to celebrate the love of your life ...YOU! 😊 Seriously though, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to show yourself a little love. After all, who is going to take care of you if not you

Our suggestion? Block out a little time this Valentine’s Day to indulge in one of these self-care activities. It’s time to rewind, relax, and TREAT YO SELF!

Our Favorite Self-Care Ideas for Valentine’s Day

One. Take a Hot Bath

Who doesn’t love relaxing in a luxurious hot bath? It’s time to break out the bubbles, candles, and aromatherapy oils and have a nice soak. Turn on some soft music, and maybe even bring a book or magazine. One thing to leave behind though: your phone (more on that later!).

Two. Splurge!

Give yourself permission to enjoy your favorite foods, sans guilt. Love mac and cheese? Make some! Have a sweet tooth? Visit a bakery or candy store! Or if you have a special bottle of wine you’ve been saving, open it up and enjoy it!

Three. Get a Massage

Is there anything more relaxing than a massage? If you are able to, book a massage with a professional. You’ll be glad you did! But if not, you can always trade massages with your partner...as long as you get to go first!

Four.

Put on Some Lipstick

Sometimes transforming the way we look on the outside can make us feel more confident on the inside. One thing that never fails to inspire confidence: red lipstick. Our Kisser Fixer Lasting Liquid Lipstick in True Red offers concentrated color with perfect coverage in just one swipe. This luxurious lipstick has a long-lasting formula, which means it will stay put while you eat your favorite treats!

Five. Say No!

Some people love fancy Valentine’s Day dinner dates, and some people don’t. If you follow into the latter camp, just say no! Choose an activity that’s enjoyable for both you and your partner. Maybe that’s watching Netflix at home, or maybe you want to ride go-carts. Saying no to the things you don’t really want helps you make time for the things you do want.

Six. Take a Nap

Maybe this seems like a bit of a cop-out, but seriously, if you’re tired, take a nap. Most health experts agree that sleep is the #1 thing you can do to improve your health and happiness. If you need to catch up on your Z’s, get comfy, put on an eye mask, and take a power nap.

Seven. Do a Digital Detox

Do you spend more time looking down at your phone than looking up at the world around you? It’s time to detach from technology! Apps like Space help you to limit the time you spend on your phone, so you can spend more time doing the things you love most.

Another trick: disable notifications from social media apps. It might be painful at first, but you’ll be surprised how much time you gain back in your busy schedule when you’re not on your phone as much!
